Congratulations! We are glad you are preparing for the Sacrament of Matrimony. Marriage is the spiritual sign of the union of Christ and his Church and a gift from God, to be taken seriously and grounded in faith. The vocation of married life is a beautiful and challenging one that deserves prayerful discernment and committed preparation.

One method of preparing for the sacrament of Marriage is thru the Sponsor Couple Program. After meeting with a priest or deacon, the engaged couple may choose to be assigned to a trained sponsor couple. They will meet with this couple at four or five mutually convenient times to cover the preparation topics. This process offers flexibility in scheduling and creates a friendly and personal contact with an active parish couple.

Registration for this process is done through the clergy in conjunction with the Faith Formation Office.
 

STEPS TO SET A DATE & RESERVE THE CHURCH:

1. Submit the Marriage Intake Form, and we will contact you for instructions for how to submit paperworks.
2. After all the required paperwork is submitted, your first meeting with a priest/deacon will be set up.

1. Take a premarital assessement (Prepare-Enrich or FOCCUS)
2. Meet a sponsor couple for 4-6 sections. Alternatively, you may register and complete one of the following Marriage Preparation programs:
   • Online Pre-Cana class at www.catholicmarriageprep.com 
3. Register and complete introductory course on Natural Family Planning provided by:
   • an online class at www.catholicmarriageprep.com
4. Submit Affidavits of Free Status. Depending on the circumstances, some couples may need to submit additional documents. If that is the case, you will be informed about them during the meeting with a clergy.
5. Plan your wedding liturgy and music.
